I thought I\u2019d take this time a week after Election Day and all the hand ringing by all factions of the Democratic Party to point out some of the positive things both MAGA and Donald J Trump has done for our democracy. An NO i haven\u2019t lost my mind or gone MAGA. What I have is faith in our Constitutional System and the American people. I will like you to note that this is not the first time in my life I live thru the \u201cEnd of America\u201d hysteria. It is my third or fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was born in 1951 so I came into this world one year after Joe McCarthy<\/a> started is run for control. For those of you good at math you will already have deduced that I was a teenager in the 1960\u2019s so I got to see up close and personnel both the \u201cCivil Rights\u201d movement and the Vietnam War protests. (And no I\u2019m not forgetting Watergate). In all of these America went thru some very dramatic and changing times. But on the other side we came out better and stronger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do we have dangerous times ahead? Yes most likely. An we, the American people, need to prepare as well as we can for could happen.The first and most difficult thing we face is it will not be possible to predict with any accuracy what will happen. This is do to two fundamental reasons. First, and the easiest to see is that whatever is done MAGA will immediately change, at lest in appearance, what we are preparing for. The second is that the Great Leader Donald J Trump is gotten even more erratic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The erratic reactions of DJT is going to cause us problems, but on the positive side it is going to cause even bigger problems for all the other MAGA leaders and\/or would be leaders. This is do to a basic feature of Authoritarian government, few if any in leadership is motivated by what is good for the Nation or the people, they are motivated by their own short term access to power. This means they don\u2019t cooperate very well. They only cooperate with others when someone with more power is watching or when they see a way to make the cooperation create an immediate gain. This does not mean they will not appear to cooperate, it means they will stop cooperating the instance it ceases to be to their advantage. Of this turn a round will come at quite harmful to the person(s) who were being cooperated with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So how does this help those of us who want to protect America from Trump & Maga? First we need to keep organizing. We have had a good start this year, but there is still a lot more to do. Next we need to keep our eyes open for opportunities resist. By this i mean keep your eyes open for any and all opportunities, big and small. Some will be able to big things that people see, others will do things that will go unnoticed. All will help. All needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This last election surprised lots and lots of people. One of the least talked about things was the turnout in several of the elections. Just look at the election in California, a single issue on the ballot in an off-off year election had a very large turnout for any non presidential election. This shows that people are aware of what is happening. That people are ready to do what needs to be done. The people are ready to say to Trump and MAGA \u201cNO. No farther. We forbid it. We will stop you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
