Recently I just read the book \u201cNumber Go Up<\/a>\u201d and was amazed at how much I really didn\u2019t know, much less understand, about Crypto Currency. I would like to recommend it to anyone thinking about getting in to Crypto as it is now obvious to me you can only play in the Crypto game with your eyes wide open. It has also convinced me I am right in thinking the coming Big Depression will be kicked off by a major crash in the Crypto Market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me be clear, I am not saying it will be like the great Crash of 1929. It will be more like the \u201cFlorida Land Boom<\/a>\u201d of the 1920\u2019s. Both are driven by dreams of getting rich quick without really doing anything. Unlike the Land Boom, the Crypto Boom is back by nothing. Unlike in the Florida boo, most of the companies supplying Crypto Coin, they have little to no capital assets backing them. This is both good and bad. At the collapse of the Florida boom, there was at lest the actual land, but this land was often so entangled with debt it was more a burden to the state than not. (For details please read \u201cOnly Yesterday\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the corporations that issue and control the trading of Cypto Coin declare bankruptcy there will be little to no assets to be seized by the bankruptcy courts. This goes for all those Coin that is supported by US Currency. Once the trading starts there is no guarantee that the money is still there. The owners of the corporation can remove all the currency very quickly with out telling anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also Crypto brags about all of the \u201cPump and Dump\u201d activity it enables. Also all of the \u201cInsider trading\u201d that happens. Given the speed at which Crypto trades happen unless you are watching the coin at the exact time the \u201cdump\u201d hits you will lose. Everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t believe me, just pick out a couple of Crypto Coins and track there trades. They move very very rapidly. An holding doesn\u2019t really work either. Just look at the current value of $melania<\/a>. It has lost almost 87% of it initial value as of this writing. An don\u2019t be fooled but things called \u201cStable\u201d coin, they are not. It is just telling you how the Cypto Coin came into being and has little to do with how \u201cStable\u201d or \u201cReliable\u201d the coin is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you like to take great risk with you money, go ahead and dive in, but you would have a better chance of coming out ahead in your local \u201cFloating Crap Game\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
