As you may well know I am a Child of the 60’s (teenager) and like many of that generation I have always wanted the leaders of our country to be above board and say what they are doing and going to do. I have waited many many years for this to happen and last Tuesday (4 March 2025) it happened. The President, Congress, and SCOTUS did it on live television. In his speech Pres. Trump made it plain what he is going to do to anyone he thinks of as an enemy and what he will give any who has something he wants.
In his very bad speech Pres. Trump told the nation and the world what to expect from both his administration and all of the GOP (MAGATS) in both the House and Senate just sat there and cheered him on. We are looking at the establishment of the doctrine of the Unitary Executive Therory in its most extreme form. And we are in for a very very wild ride.
We have seen it in a small form in the last few weeks. When those who have “Power and Privilege” (read wealth) will get what they want, when they want. They will soon be move IG out of the shadows and openly do things that will demonstrate to one and all that they are untouchable……until they start fighting amongst themselves. Don’t believe me? I invite you to study up on the political history of Renaissance Italy city states. Cities like the Republic of Venice, or Milan, or Genoa. Sure we will still have a President and a Congress but it will be the people of wealth who will be calling the shots. Sometimes from in the shadows but more and more often in plan sight.
Not immediately, but soon, very soon, when two or more of the Privileged Class wants come into conflict we can see open conflict. Maybe first in the courts or maybe in the congress. But the real fun starts when the side that looses in court tells the court to stuff it’s ruling and the winning side can not get the President to in force the ruling. It will happen. Let Pres. Trump get away with refusing to abide by a SCOTUS ruling and the gates will be open for any of the Privileged to ignore the court.
What to look for now is independent power bases being built up by individual Privileged Persons. All, we of course, be totally loyal to Pres. Trump. they will all be doing what. Pres. Trump “wants” but only the most powerful will actually be able to say just what Pres. Trump wants. Currently this looks like Elon Musk but this can change rapidly. How this will happen I have no idea but I can not rule out extreme measures of any kind. Look for the hiring of “private” security in large numbers and publicly seen. Look for the sidelining of the Secret Service protection details. These are just two things to look for but there are many more I just can’t think of any more right now.
To all of you who voted for Trump believing his lies and tall tails all I can say is ”We tried to warn you.” This may not be what you voted for but it what you got. You need to fix it. We will try and help, just as soon as we feel safe enough to do so. As I don’t expect to live very long once it get started I do not expect to be there to help.
