The first “Hundred Days” of a President’s term in office has, for most of my life, something only political wonks and the Media really pay attention to. Not so for President Trump’s second term. He has achieved one of his stated campaign goals of make his time in office historical.
Even though he is only the second person to be elected twice with an intervening President (being second is something DJT has never found acceptable) he has achieved several notable accomplishments. The first, and this is something DJT will never admit to, he is now the President with the lowest rating in polls coming out of the “Hundred Days” since polling has been being taken. An to put icing on the cake, it is not just his approval rating as a President, it is also with all of his “Big Political Plays” are quite unpopular. All of them, Immigration, Taxes, getting rid of “waste and fraud”, you name it and the American people have a poor opinion of both him and how it is being done. All are in the negative. A this is not just in the “Liberal” media polls, this in all of the polls taken. The only difference between “liberal” and “conservative” polling numbers is the actual size of the numbers in the poll.
The other historical accomplishment is he is on his way to having the most “do nothing” congress since the 1950’s. As of this writing only five laws have been enacted by congress. All the action in the Trump 2nd term so far has been thru executive action (EX’s etc). The House of Representatives seems to be incapable of any kind of action. The Senate at least had to “advise and consent” to all of DJT’s appointments so they could look like they are working.
I an not wait to see what happens in the next hundred days.
